About Us

the bossy boots story

Since opening our doors in 1995, Bossy Boots Early Learning Centre has been putting smiles on thousands of children’s faces. What started as a humble Early Learning Centre, has now grown into a community of families that are thriving because of the support we’ve provided in caring for their children throughout the years.

We’ve always been big on providing a home away from home to every child that enters our doors. From the first drop-off until their last day with us (which is always bittersweet!); our goal is to make children feel safe, in an environment where they can explore who they want to be and grow happily.

As we turn the page and welcome our new owners, Candis and Kurt Henry, our goals still ring true today. With the faster pace our world is in right now, families have become increasingly busier. Educating your little ones doesn’t have to be compromised. Allow our highly-experienced and ultra-fun team of educators to provide learning opportunities for your children as you take on the day.

Candis Henry - Managing Director

As a busy Mum of 3 wonderful boys who juggles Motherhood together with being a business woman and studying her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Candis is no stranger to the Bossy Boots family. Her own boys, Knox (5 years), Nash (4 years) and Wilba (2 years) started their Early Education journey with us.

Having previously owned The Pink Gym in Tweed Heads, Candis knows her way around running a business. Apart from this, she is also a Life Coach and Neurolinguistics Programming Practitioner.  She has big goals for not only Bossy Boots Early Learning but the community as well. She envisions a place where not only the children’s needs are met, but the entire family’s as well.

Every single refreshing change that Bossy Boots Early Learning Centre has gone through the past few months definitely has her touch, so expect exciting times ahead when you trust your children with us.
